The beautiful 88-acre CrossPointe Campus has a history of redemption, restoration and renewal. In 1956 the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel made the decision to establish an additional Bible college east of the Mississippi River for the purpose of training men and women for ministry. In September 1957, classes began in at the Mt. Vernon Bible College in Ohio. In 1987 the Board of Regents made a decision to relocate the campus due to difficulties of students securing employment opportunities, declining enrollment and rising costs of maintaining the aging buildings and grounds. The search began for an ideal site to relocate the school.
This property was purchased in 1988 and the college moved to Christiansburg, Virginia; the name was changed to L.I.F.E. Bible College East. For 14 years hundreds of men and women were released into Foursquare ministry. On April 30, 2004, L.I.F.E. Bible College East relocated to a larger campus in San Dimas, California. The campus sat vacant for three years as assessments were made concerning the future of the property. In 2006 the decision was made to use this location as a Foursquare Conference Center. Former President and Pastor Jack Hayford officially dedicated CrossPointe on October 9, 2007.
Today the CrossPointe Conference Center is a multi-faceted, multi-generational campus that serves not only the Foursquare Church, but also the local community. It is the home to theBridge Foursquare Church, Life Pacific University Virginia, the Center for Spiritual Renewal, the Bridges and Blossoms Preschool as well as serving as a venue for conferences, retreats, and banquets. CrossPointe is a place of connection: where people gather to meet and where memories flow.
